Saltin 1940's Vintage
Size 4. Cream colored 1940's vintage wedding gown. Heavy satin and scalloped lace. Front and back of this gown are almost identical making it very unique.
Size 4. Gown measures: Bust: 34". Waist: 26". Length from shoulder at neck seam to hem: 59".Train: 6 1/2 ' wide, 36" long from where it hits the floor.
Cream colored, long sleeved with five buttons closure, high collar. Buttons down the front and back. No zipper. There are 65 buttons, none are missing. The photos show a partly open back because I didn't button up the dress. There are darts that can be let out. The seams also have a little that can be let out. Looks to be professionally made but has no label. Gown comes with headpiece. No veiling. It appears to have had a flower on each side, only has one now. Photos were taken with a double hoop crinoline, not included in purchase price. Gown has no crinoline.
This beautiful antique gown is in very good condition. It has been cleaned but is wrinkled from being stored all these years. There is slight damage to the left side of the bust near the underarm on the front. It looks as if the satin is scratched in places. There are no holes through. There is slight staining that is almost the color of the gown and very hard to see under the left arm.
