Off-white wedding gown from 1969. Seller is celebrating 40 years
of marriage. Fabric content is unknown. Bust 40". Waist 33 1/2" Hip 50". The bottom of the wedding gown skirt measures 73"
around. Length from underarm to hem of the gown 49". The sleeves are 18" from underarm to underside of wrist and 25 1/2" from
shoulder to tip, that extends over the back of the hand. Nine covered buttons and loops on each sleeve. There are slight gathers
at the waist of the gown.
The train is detachable and can be bustled. It measure 32" out from
where it hit the floor. About 25" of that measurement is enhanced with appliques having sewn pearls and crystals. The
train attaches easily with 10 hooks sewn under the lace and pearls on the waistband of the wedding gown. It is pleated for
fullness and style.
The bridal gown has both a hook and snap closure at the back of the
neck and waist at the back zipper making the closures disappear. It even has bra strap holders. The wedding gown is completely
lined, including the train. The lining was cut and sewn together with the gown fabric.
The detailing is exceptional. On the gown skirt it extends to the
back. On the bodice it extends to the shoulder and top of the sleeves. There are pearls and crystals on lace applique. The
lace stand-up collar has pearls hand sewn completely around the neckline, as does the waist of the bridal gown. You can see
some of the detail in the picture with the headpiece below.
The wrinkling seen in the photos is because this wedding gown has
been professionally boxed and was just opened. Many of the creases have alread come out.
This gown is beautiful. It is clean and stain free. The pictures
don't do it justice. I could find nothing wrong with it. There is nothing missing. There are no imperfections. There is a
headpiece, veil and money purse that go FREE with the purchase of this wedding gown. They are the same fabric as the gown
and the appliques and beading are the same.
This is vintage at it's very best. Please measure yourself carefully
